The Study Work Grow website is an important source of information for our students - in particular our Year 10, 11 & 12 students. It includes information, NDWS and events from the Careers Association of NSW and a range of education providers.

Careers Update - 13 September 2021

These last few weeks have been a time of uncertainty for Year 12 students with the decision to delay the start of the HSC until the 9th of November. The flow on from this is that the HSC results will not be released to students until Monday 24th January 2022. However, the ATAR will be released on Thursday the 20th January and the students will have until midnight of the 21st to change preferences. The release of the ATAR prior to the actual release of the HSC results is to enable the universities to have sufficient time to offer places and begin their academic year on time. Read more...

Careers Update - 26 August 2021

At the present time there is an increasing shortage of teachers not only in New South Wales. but across the country. Open Days for Tertiary Institutions 2021

August and September are busy months where different tertiary institutions hold their Open Day. Given the current situation in Sydney many will now be held online. These are useful days for parents and their children, not only those in Year 12 but also Year 11 to gain an understanding of what is on offer, not just from universities but a range of other tertiary options. Many are anxious about what lies ahead, how the extended lockdown will affect what they want to do next year, whether this is to enter a trade or attend university. The recent CAA Industry Update Day for Careers Advisers provided some valuable information that may be of interest to parents and students. In many fields, especially those relating to STEM, horticulture and landscaping, logistics, local government, and apprenticeships across many areas, there is and will continue to be a demand for skilled employees.
